Dave LaGrande is a composer, arranger, orchestrator, musician, and educator with more than two decades of professional experience. After nearly fifteen years in Nashville as a touring and recording musician, he continues to collaborate remotely and in person with clients around the world. Whether composing for film, television, animation, dance, or live productions, performing professionally, or working one-on-one with students, his goal remains the same: create meaningful musical experiences through thoughtful collaboration and craftsmanship. His work has taken him to 49 U.S. states, internationally throughout Europe and the Caribbean, and to creative collaborations with clients around the world. Available for remote collaboration worldwide.

Lessons are delivered in person at a home-based teaching studio in the Wellen Park area of South Sarasota County. Online instruction is also available.
Students may study locally or remotely, with lesson content adapted to the same individual goals in either format.
Monthly Tuition
Recurring weekly private instruction.
Monthly tuition is collected in advance and reserves a recurring weekly lesson time.
Semester tuition is also available for students seeking long-term instruction.
LaGrande Music Services is an approved provider for eligible Florida families.

Dave LaGrande is a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, former nationally touring musician, and music educator with more than 20 years of teaching and professional performance experience. His background includes public-school band instruction, private teaching, national and international touring, recording, television appearances, orchestral arranging, and scoring for film and animation.
Lessons combine strong musical fundamentals with practical, real-world musicianship. Instruction is tailored to each student's goals, whether beginning an instrument, preparing for an audition, developing improvisation skills, returning to music as an adult, or pursuing more advanced creative study.
Dave's experience as both an educator and a working professional allows students to connect technical development with the practical skills used in performance, arranging, recording, improvisation, and creative collaboration.
Dave holds a Master of Arts in Orchestration for Film, Television and Games from the University of Chichester and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Central Florida.
